OPPIX PRODUCTIONS INC. is a full service video and digital media production company and certified small business serving federal agencies, foundations, national trade associations, broadcasters, corporations, labor unions, and other public institutions. Media production projects, whatever the scale, require careful planning, attention to detail and logistics, and close communication among project team members. OPPIX has developed a management approach that ensures operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and end-user satisfaction. The firm has successfully completed more than 1000 production projects, mostly in video, for a wide range of clients. OPPIX Productions Inc was founded in 1980 by James C. Oppenheimer, formerly Director of Communications for United Way in Virginia.

JAMES OPPENHEIMER

PRESIDENT

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

James Oppenheimer has more than 25 years experience in media production, eighteen years as an award-winning independent producer. He has worked in all the aspects of production and direction.

Oppenheimer has directed crews on location all over the US and in Central America. Projects have required him to work under demanding and unpredictable conditions, including frozen bogs, thermal springs, deserts and forests. He has vast experience in the direction of interviews and has directed numerous shoots in schools, industrial settings, and urban jungles.

Oppenheimer excels as a director of live events, having served as Set Designer, Technical Director, and Executive Producer for many conferences and satellite broadcasts.



DENISE BATTISTONE

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Denise Battistone joined OPPIX in January of 1996. She supervises the firm's video distribution center, oversees the music library, researches marketing and procurement, and coordinates the daily management of the office. She has served as location manager, associate producer and production assistant on numerous productions. Her additional duties include scriptwriting, tracking project costs, coordinating staff members, and managing the post production schedule.

Battistone has researched, written, and produced numerous OPPIX projects, including "The Art of Sport", "Examining Student Work: Overview, Collaborative Analysis of Student Learning, the Turning Protocol, Standards in Practice", a four part series for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and "Portfolio" an Internet based Knowledge Repository.



STEVE WEYRICH

EDITOR

Steve Weyrich has over eleven years of experience in video production and management. He is a certified Avid non-linear Editor (Media Composer - Version 11.0), is proficient in Photoshop (Version 7.0) and is experienced in working with and without supervision on all styles and formats of documentaries, commercials, and corporate/private videos.

Over the last five years, Weyrich's work for OPPIX has included training videos for the Center for Applied Linguistics, numerous ASCD projects, and the DOL productions "Beyond the Wall," "Introducing GovBenefits.gov", "VPP: Bottom Line Value", and "Child Soldiers."



CHRIS ARNOLD

CINEMATOGRAPHER

With more than 20 years experience, videographer and editor Chris Arnold shoots with an eye for detail and a refined sense of how programs are completed in post production.

In lighting, Chris excels in all situations, from beautiful portraiture interviews to lighting large area events.

Versatile in all video formats, Chris has an innate ability to translate the vision of director and client alike.



DAVID WEINER

PROJECT MANAGER

David splits his time between the U.S. and Africa where he is Director of Production for the International Conservation and Education Fund (INCEF). Working with African filmmakers, INCEF produces local language, culturally appropriate media to secure the health and well-being of both human and wildlife populations.



BEVERLY HALLBERG

PRODUCER/DIRECTOR

Recent projects for Oppix Productions include: Video News Release focused on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Segment producer/director, NBC “Today Show” for OSHA; Segment producer/director, Career College Association promo with Newt Gingrich; Segment producer/director, White House Office of Community & Faith-Based Initiatives; Writer/producer/editer for DOL’s 2003-2007 EVE and ODEP Award Programs; Producer, USERRA Public Service Announcement for Guard and Reserve returning troops; Producer, Bureau of Labor Statistics new-hire orientation video.



JUAN QUIROGA

EDITOR/CAMERAMAN

With broadcast production experience in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and throughout America, Juan is our go-to guy for projects that require expert Spanish language origination, or re-versioning from English, or any project with a beginning, middle and end. His skill with lighting and videography add value to an intuitive, articulate style in the edit room that has made Juan a favorite with clients and Oppix staff alike.



CHRIS FREEMAN

First and foremost, Chris Freeman is our Chief Technology Maven, CTM. He’s also Oppix’s resident avatar and cold call marketing deflector. Chris began his career in Silicon Valley at the dawn of the computer age. His lightning speed on two wheels and his vast experience in virtual collaboration adds a vital dimension to the Oppix work team.
